Freight Nav, Burlington, ON

tried it out for a while....its the critical mass that is lacking on the platform. Platform itself is fine.

Cost?
I would imagine all it would take would be for a couple of good brokers to start posting freight on there and they would reach their mass objectives fairly quickly.

$50 per month.. response time from the carriers requesting availability takes about 30 min - 1 hour. Rates posted are not accurate.

Here is my list of similar companies (tech centric freight brokers) or rate shopping services that integrate directly with carriers via API's not preloaded rates from a sheet of paper that service the Canadian market with LTL/TL carriers most also provide courier quotes as well.

FreightNav
FreightCom
ShipTime
FreightSimple
2Ship
NetParcel
FreightEra
FreightOS
FreightQuote (CHR Company)
FreightExchange

there are plenty more USA based firms, but most of them have no clue about onboarding canadian carriers without an MC, so its makes it hard for us to target that american market for local GTA cartage.

These are bigger "operational" players.. some are more established than others.

Some are very different than others from a finance and ops perspective, payments etc. Some will succeed and others may not. Its a "newer" business model, rate shopping services for shippers.

Just had a quick meeting with them this morning. Kind of like eBay meets Uber meets Real Estate lawyer ... LOL
Might have some legs to it. I posted up some lanes. We'll see what kind of traction it gets.
The guaranteed payment part is pretty impressive.
