What else is out there other then Load Link? Which ones are you using and which ones work effectively. How much are the monthly fees etc. Thanks.

Load matching

Unfortunately, there is no viable competition to Link.
The Canadian Market is in their grasp. If you are looking for LTL there is no hope with alternates.
In the case of FTL, we had success with the Landstar load board which is free as well as the CH Robinson site. I believe that pickings are slim on either of these boards since the recession hit.

If you are a carrier looking for freight and are set up with Link there is no need to get DAT seeing that all the Americans can see your equipment and will call you.

Good luck!

Loadsurfer is trying to put a dent in it but it takes a long time to build up the options of Loadlink. Somebody would have to lose money for a long time putting this site up for free until you had enough subscribers to make it viable. I'd like to see a new site come up where you have higher qualified subscribers, that way the reputables could deal with each other and if you played dirty you'd get yourself kicked off the site...

I don't think that there will ever be a substitute for due diligence and thorough credit investigation. Perhaps a load matching system that required stringent entrance qualifications would reduce the number of outright scammers and charlatans, but really, isn't the onus on the purchaser to check who they are dealing with, regardless of how they come to you? I think we would be fooling ourselves if we surrender that duty to any type of load matching system. It might be possible to devise a "high class" chicken coop, but the foxes will instinctively find a way in.

Not concerned with credit!

I have subscribed to several alternate load boards over the last few years, all to no avail.
I beleive We found one viable leed over the last 10 yeras.

Unfortunatly the reputable US boards are full of American domestic freight.
The up and coming boards are usually populated by the likes of the low paying giants like C.H. Robinson et al. Alternatly freight, is offered by double brokers and / or " Co- Brokers".

If you are looking for LTL it is vertually non existant. Load link clearly has a monopoly.
