Glad to see in 2009 everyone was happy with First Class.
Check this out. Booked a load (Saint Catharines to Mississauga)with Suresh, this Friday. Get a confirmation reading pickup before 4 pm and deliver before 4 pm Monday. I ended up picking up late but I informed Suresh 1 hr before the scheduled pickup my driver was running behind in traffic and my 2nd driver can get there in 40 minutes whom I dispatched from Burlington after getting all of the freight in the 2nd option unloaded in a Customer of mine's crossdock.
Suresh then puts me on the line with his customer making us both unconfortable, and anxious, barking at me 37 minutes after the email. Meaning he just got a chance to look at it.
Once emailing Suresh that I will be delivering 11am as of 09:32, his reply is WTF???
So I picked up late on Friday, and I thought everything was gravy, but this is the kind of nonsense dispatchers, carriers, and brokers have to put up with on a Monday morning.
No matter what size coffee you have, no matter how positive your energy is, we will always have this unprofessional-ism and aggression occur. People grow up to be such babies the longer they are in business, and I know my commitment stands as it is. My service is based on communication, and keeping promised times. If I had known that we were to deliver as of 0900 I would have made arrangements accordingly.
Anyways lesson learned. I hope he pays me, but I will keep everyone posted.
