The work stoppage at CP Rail could not have come at a worse time for Canadians and the government wants a deal to end the impasse immediately, said federal Labour Minister Seamus O’Regan. @JustinTrudeau should invoke the Emergency Act. I'm sure that someone in that whole group has a white supremacist leaning ideology or wants the current government to come down and we all know that lockouts/strikes can be violent.. The CBC should look at everyone's social media to identify the one or two individuals that may threaten violence. Heck, they might even find one employee who was in Ottawa or Windsor for the freedom convoy.

Ya, trying to equate a peaceful labour contract dispute to a multi week long, occupation of a downtown city core and numerous international ports of entry, really is kind of funny. Sad, but funny especially on the very day that Ontario joins the long list of jurisdictions that have lifted and/or eliminated pretty much all COVID related restrictions. Those who supported the truckers temper tantrum in Ottawa and other locations should be celebrating…..you won! Freedom has returned!

Maybe you're right - If you asked me three years ago if any of these mandates and execution of an EA was possible in Canada I would have said heck no. How it all got way out of hand will be written for years to come. As for the labour contract I forgot that the government already has a mechanism to take control by legislating them back to work.
