Hi
One of our driver crossed the border with the FDA shipment CBP officer insisted not visit FDA, But customer Saying they need a FDA Stamped paperwork, The custom brokers website shows FDA HOLD. Can some one help me with this.

Hello
So - if the customer were to send a prior notice to the broker, no need to stop at the FDA office. But most likely, status would be FDA released. Seems it's not done.
If the status is on FDA hold, then yes, needs to stop at the FDA office before going towards delivery.

Just to add.. CBP and FDA are 2 different things.

Certain products need FDA approval but like Misto said, they can be precleared and no inspection. Some need a proper inspection.

If you were told the load needed to be inspected, you should have went and got it inspected.

Some goods require an FDA stamp by the importer, or, depending on the goods, a sample taken every time, regardless of the FDA status of the transaction and regardless of what the CBP officer says.
Do you have the CBP entry number?
