Too bad GM is not in the truck business. The easiest way to do this on the cheap is to use OnStar as the WiFi hotspot. As far as I know there are no trucks operating this or any similar option.
is that set up to recognize the different cycles so that once the truck/driver crosses the border back into Canada it knows that he/she can operate under the 70/7 and 13 hours drive rules..?Actually, that's not correct anymore ... all new Daimler-Benz, Paccar, and Volvo offerings do have constant connections back to HQ via their Virtual Technician engine applications ... think "ET phone home". I know Daimler-Benz piggy backs their Zonar application on that connection. I expect Paccar and Volvo either do, or will be, offering a similar package.
As for us, we've committed to the Peoplenet platform. It does everything we need and more, it's future friendly, and it's vertically integrated with our TMS.

I love how easy it is to use, law enforcement likes it and it's CANADIAN made.Bubba-one, What do you use for a data plan?? We do cross border freight and I am trying to find a cost effective way to use Big Road.
