Hi everyone, it's been awhile since I posted as I've been very lucky with carrier choices lately. i saw some old posts on this carrier and wanted to mention a recent experience. We recently used this carrier for a load out of Magog, QC. to Nashville, TN. It loaded on a Thursday and we were assured it would deliver Monday. Driver was 6 hours late for the pickup, which was OK as he was there before 5:00 PM. We needed to have the PAPS so we could ensure the border was set up properly, this was a new shipper for our client, and we asked for it to be sent early to work with the broker on it. Well up until 4:00 PM Friday is still had not been sent and nobody there seemed to know what was going on. We booked the load with Richard who advised he is the manager. So Friday we are assured it will definitely deliver Monday and we made sure the PAPS was in order. Monday comes and the phone goes to someone at home, who has no idea what we are talking about. Turns out the load did not even leave Toronto. The person had no idea why. He assures me he has a team on it and will deliver first thing the next morning. So we ask for the teams phone numbers and we get numbers that nobody answers for over 20 calls. We see that the PAPS cleared about 7:00 PM. We email for an update and they tell us it will deliver by noon. I call personally and I speak to Richard who tells me that it is already delivered. I ask why he didn't deliver yesterday as promised and he tells me it was a Holiday and he didn't work. I ask him to get us a verbal POD and he bluntly says call the receiver. Well I was impatient and I may have been rude, mention something about seeing how fast he gets paid and hang up. He calls me back for the purpose of threatening me to come and talk to his face. As fun as that may hvae been I have no need to spend time in jail waiting to get bailed out. LOL. He kept going on about Thanksgiving and did I work? Of course I worked, I was tracking your late truck and in all honesty we haven't had a Thanksgiving off in 15 years as we deal with the USA. I was happy he was able to ignore his clients and enjoy his Thanksgiving. The point is I have not had a carrier care so little, mislead me so often and simply not care. I strongly suggest you don't use them. Blacklisted Already for me.
 
anyone on here done business with them lately? wondering if there are any improvements in their business processes. They are looking to have us do a load for them but if their people and practices are all over the place i'm not sure if we want to get involved.

no improvements. Lots of stories, very loose relationship with the concept of truth

Pending insurance cancellation and pending authority revocation

I'm not defending or advocating for this carrier. This is a general observation. Pending insurance cancellations happen frequently when moving to a new insurance company or when the current insurance supplier is registering a new policy. It is not uncommon for there to be a cancelled policy and then a couple days before the expiration date a new policy is attached.

Or... this is a radical response to information like this, these days... pick up the phone and talk to them. They may have a generic cert available.
