I am writing to clarify a recent issue regarding a load that was booked under "Dundalk Express."
As an Edmonton-based carrier, we are not affiliated in any way with Dundalk Express, and we believe there may have been some confusion, possibly with a Montreal-based operation as DK transport.
To be specific, we booked a load through Dundalk Express, but when our driver arrived at the shipper, we were informed that the load had already been picked up two days prior. This occurred on a Friday, which left our driver with no option but to return home empty.
To make matters more difficult, Dundalk Express has refused to pay for the empty miles or truck order not used (TONU), despite the failed coordination on their end.
