I will be relocating to Niagara Falls very soon and will be looking for a dispatcher position in that area.
I have 6 years experience, as a Dispatcher, with my present company and 14 years as a Traffic Manager with my previous employer.
Some of my current responsibilities include:
•Quote new and existing customers on LTL and FTL shipments, via phone and email.
•Enter and track all shipments in UFOS dispatch software program.
•Inform customers on all pick-ups and deliveries, negotiate detention charges and extra services provided.
•Create driver run sheets with special instructions, pick-up and
delivery times.
•Manage drivers, with respect to, pick ups and deliveries, routes, emergency repairs and service.
•On call, after hours, 24/7 for customer and driver support.
•Prepare and process all customs documentation, including ACE manifest, for inbound and outbound shipments.
•Monitor load link and contact members with regards to potential new loads and return freight leads.
•Provide POD's and various other documentation, as requested.
•Make collection calls on overdue invoices
I would prefer to work for an asset based carrier as one of my many strengths is working with drivers.
