Used Transport Diamond Logistics last week fro a load from Sainte Justine to Montreal. BIG Mistake.
There was a delay in getting offloaded (delivery to Port, you are on Ports schedule sometime quick sometimes not) and took to opportunity to take the load hostage. Instead of getting empty at port they took the goods to a warehouse and then sent us over an inflated invoice for hundreds of more dollars. We had a deadline to meet for the booking at port so we agreed, booked another carrier at additional expense to go load at the warehouse and finish delivery. Diamond send over bank info and we went to local branch and deposited a cheque for the inflated amount. For the next two days we paid for truck to be at the warehouse to load while Diamond had mysterious forklift problems, language problems, staffing problems at warehouse, everything you can think of. What was originally to be billed as a $850 load had now been over $2500 out of pocket to us. If not for the value our customer has to us and the value of the goods I would have told this thief to keep the goods and walked away, it was that frustrating.

They have been on our DO NOT USE list for 3 years.
They also inflated their invoice with us when the shipper added more skids from Toronto, they charged us $100 more per skid once the goods were on the truck. They made us agree to it in writing before they would deliver.
I hate gougers like that.....they have lost a lot of freight from us as a result....

Yesterday I gave them 9 crates double stacked and 4 skids to p/u in Toronto for St. Laurent. They picked up the fright and the driver told the shipper to lay the stuff out on the floor so it would take up more room.
Their dispatch called me and told me I had 11 spots and it would cost $150.00.
Then they complained about the weight of the trailer - so I told him to unload it. Instead the driver left and now they are holding it hostage for more money.

dont ' use them - the back door and switch out your paperwork for theirs with their company info on it and lie lie lie lie
I did more than 10 loads with them in the past, small shipments ( 1-2 skids) ON to QC, never had an issue

We book with them very regularly, 3 or more times per week since 2018(LTL between GTA Montreal). Service is good and Tony and the team are nice people. We haven't had many problems. but we have found that they are easy to work with when an issue comes up.
