My trailer got damaged during loading/unloading. I suspect it's the receiver as my driver did not see any light coming inside the trailer (it's a decent size hole). After unloading, the receiver told my driver that there's a hole in the roof. Neither the shipper or the receiver is taking the responsibility for it.

What do I do in this situation? I don't want to pay out of pocked to get it fixed. Can anyone help me?

Unless you get someone to admit too it you will be eating the repair. It happens.

Its happened more than once for me as well. Had a couple admit to it, but now it seems no one wants to take responsibility when they screw up.

You need to decide what your sanity is worth. Try chasing a black hole of denial or just, as Rob says, eat it. Happens to us all.

This is like the 2nd it happened in a few months. Last time it wasn't as big. Worst thing is, I had to cancel a load because of the hole. It's a tough pill to swallow.

I guess I was at the wrong place at the wrong time and got burnt.
