I love sitting in the middle of operations, I get to hear just about everything. This just happened:
Carrier: Hi, I need your help, your shipper did not provide my driver with any customs documents at the time of pickup.
Customer service: Oh, we're here to help, we'll absolutely reach out to the shipper and importer if we have to in order to get you everything you need to get this set up for clearance into Canada. What's the load number you are calling about?
Carrier: #######
Customer Service: Thanks so much, I'll get on this right away.
Carrier: my driver is at the border, please hurry.

Pickup was Monday late morning, call came in 10 minutes ago. I wonder how some companies are struggling to turn a profit. Disorganization costs $.
