Hi All, I work as a company driver and owner reduced wages from 60 cents per mile to 55 cents claiming poor
business and low rates. Is there any site on the internet I can see the current load rates and trend?
I searched google and only come up with 6 month old rates.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no website that will give you current rates. There are many that will show how rates are trending, up or down. Keep in mind rates vary dramatically depending on a number of factors, primarily what was negotiated with your customers. I am not trying to defend your employer or his actions to reduce your pay, however he is correct, rates are depressed and have been for most of this past year. Competition is fierce and there remains an overcapacity of available equipment which drives rates lower. In today’s environment, reducing overhead is the most common way to improve a company’s profitability. Unfortunately it usually results in lower pay for drivers.

Are you a company driver paid as an employee subject to source deductions or are you paid to a company name (Driver Inc)?
