Anyone know who they are? When I spoke to them they make it seem like they have all the trucks in the world but the website says they're freight forwarders.

25 out of 35 postings on link are US inbound or outbound with 2 drivers / power units on Safer...

That I think is where the real problem lies with link.. blatant broker allowed to post 35 trucks cause he has 2...

Was Csa Disilva and they did have trucks I believe California based. They used to be in the old Scarborough bondshed dock was a pain to get into. I am not sure if they still run trucks but they do pay there bills not slow or fast...

They do consolidations to/from California ... my feeling is they broker the linehauls out once they've built them up. But they are effective at it, and as far as I know the service they provide in the end is at least as good as the guys like BLM etc.

Are 33 of the postings 'just looking'?

Agreed!

They have offices across Canada and in the US. I deal with the Calgary office when I have LTL out of California. I don't recommend them for time sensitive shipments. I normally give them a week to deliver my product and they use all of it or a bit more.

As far as brokering out line haul Shakey, yes they do. My last shipment came with a different carrier. He was actually someone who drove for us at one time so we know he wasn't driving for CSA. I had a claim on my shipment which still isn't resolved. I filled out their claim form and mentioned the double-brokering. They have yet to contact me regarding the claim.

CSA Mtl.

I have worked with them a couple of times over the last 3 years.

We first worked together on a linehaul out of California to MTL. This is an area we had never serviced and they paid very well on the load. There were close to 30 shipments on the trailer and they all cleared @ Windsor ON no problem.
Freight was delivered to their dock in Mtl, a small whs with 2 doors, enough for crossdocking.

Payment came from Toronto and was prompt. We now do an ltl shipment evry month for them from the Sout East and payment is still prompt.

CSA Alberta

We have hauled a few loads for them. They were great to work with and paid on time. No problems at all.

They use agents and linehaul the freight to them, they also have offices in California too. They are a good carrier, I use them often. Hope that helps.
