Hello Friends

How many of you have company website? Do you think its necessary?
Your Thoughts on Company website will be highly appreciated...

Tatjana has worked very hard on our website and has learned a great deal. You "don't" need expensive SEO people but you do have to dedicate some time to it. We have only started collecting some data on customer income generated by our website, but for May it was an extra 5K and only getting better.

Websites are completely necessary in my opinion. They provide details on your company and more importantly the services you offer. It gives your company an "image" or presence. Especially in this industry - you need any little niche to stand out from the rest.

And I agree with PSTC - you don't need a huge investment for one either or a "webmaster" employed specifically to create one and/or update it. And updating it is very important - nothing worse than a "stale" website that hasn't been touched or revamped in months.

A great resource is www.intuit.com - ready made website templates that anyone can change and manipulate. Their packages start off as little as $30 with an $8 fee per month to have a site. They'll even register and transfer domains for you. Plus - you also get LIVE help when trying to create your site - which is so simple to do. It is a website creation package designed specifically for people that have no website knowledge. Even those who are a little computer "challenged" will be able to create a website - and with the live assistance - if you come across a stumbling block - live chat - tell them what you need - and they will create your design for you.

Something to consider...and just my 2 cents....

In my opinion, in this world if you aren't on the web, you don't exist.

Any company that is marketing anything that doesn't have a website is considered a red flag to me. Even a one man show.

One thing that I noticed is that if you have a "Rate Request" page where the potential customer fills in the information, you can increase your potential volume. The page only has to be set up to send an email to you and you can get back to the customer with the rate and your personal touch.

Do some research on web hosts and you can find someone that will be a good fit for you. Lay out a plan of what you want your site to do and then look to see who can provide all of your needs. I'm not very computer literate but I had designed a couple sites while attending college using Microsoft Expression Web. Maybe not the best program to use, but it was the one being taught to us.
