Correct. Sometimes the first “offer” is not what the final “sale” price is. Not that I condone low balling rates to see which sucker is going to bite, we certainly don’t operate that way. The problem is it takes too long to move the freight, going back and forth with one carrier after another, and you risk dragging your company name into the gutter to save a couple of bucks in the process.Someone took it, but maybe not for that rate.
I once posted a load for $120.00. It was a typo... should have been posted for $1200.00. Likely my name got cursed to the high heavens for a day.. and someone somewhere.. when they saw the load had been taken down.. declared that "some idiot took it"! The person who did call me correctly surmised that the rate was an error, and she booked it for the $1200.00.
