I don't think a complete and accurate confirmation is too much to ask. Brokers are responsible for accuracy and completeness and should suffer the consequences when errors occur due to confusing or missing information.
On the carrier side I would also suggest that you sign and fax back your confirmation...this ensures that the broker knows you've received it and that you understand the load parameters and terms of payment.
Both parties....brokers and carriers...neeed to dot their i's and cross their t's to avoid costly mistakes... a simple error like an incomplete address can be very costly.
