The Canadian Watchdog site had some useful info on it ... but I think the good info came from members in common with this site.
IMO, the information lent itself too much to foul language and comments that I saw as having racial connotations.
Basically, it wasn't well managed but was run as an 'angry' site and I don't miss it.

Watchdog
I believe the site was being run honestly by a chap that seems to be a dispatcher in some outfit out West.
I spoke to him over the phone regarding some information and he was straightforward and helpful.
I believe the site became an overwhelming task in that it seemed to be the bitching board for carriers that did not pay and scams. It must have been very time consuming to verify all the information that was generated prior to posting.
A valliant effort by a fellow, it was very helpful while it lasted. I would not want to speculate as to why he stopped the site.

I too, thought Canadian Trucking Watchdog, originally, did have a very noble goal when it first came online. Eventually though, I found the site to become very hostile and if I may, very, very creepy. I was suprised to find out on this forum, Canadian Trucking Watchdog was run by a guy named Jaime (aka Montreal Trucker.. aka Tom Donaldson) from Trans Inter FM out of Dorval PQ. A quick search of previous posts would confirm this fact. I would like to thank the staff of INSIDE TRANSPORT for puting this site together. Definitely a top notch operation.
