Canadian Bonded Carrier

CDN Bond

Very simple :

Call your trucking insurance broker and ask him to get you a bond. The costs is around $300.00/ year.

It should not take long to get one. This will allow you to take your complete trailer to a bond shed , once customs has affixed a yellow ball seal.

To be post audit , whereupon you can bond only a particular shipment on an LTL load. The criteria are more stringent, they require good standing with Revenue Canada, a fencend in enclosure at your whs. and adequate volume to warant the status.

Stateside helped me when I got started. Wayne is very knowlegable over there and doesn't charge to bend an ear.
