It took almost 3 weeks to send an envelope from Mississauga to Mississauga. We would all be out of business if our service was like that.

I can believe it - we have experienced the same thing.

Mailing a letter in Mississauga - to Mississauga - can take longer than 2 weeks. You are better to take your business mail outside of Mississauga - anywhere in the GTA. For whatever reason - it is actually faster dropping it in a box somewhere else.

We have taken our mail to Brampton - mailed it from there - it cuts delivery times nearly in half!!!

I hope it doesn't take that long for my Mothers Day card....

I'd be in some deep trouble!!!!

It's going to Niagara though, could take a month or two??

:)

We had a big problem even getting our mail and in November received mail that was post marked July. Finally we made arrangements to pick it up at the post office ourselves and for some reason we get mail that is only a day or two old instead of the two weeks. We had called the post office numerous times listened to a recording saying they get the mail out every day and then talked to a person who said they had staffing issues and were trying to fix it but in the meantime we would get our mail on Friday!!!

Not just here.

Had a sympathy card sent from NY to Mississauga the first week of May
Received it in July last year.

It had Money in it so I thought it had been stolen.

Surprise, surprise when I got it.

A few weeks ago our letter carrier had told us that she was going to be off for few days having a minor surgery.

Our mail (normally delivered by 10:00 AM or so) for the days that she was off was left on the ground in front of the building after hours.

Phone calls and complaints to Canada Post got us no where.

Phone calls and complaints to Canada Post got us no where.

Not surprising at all....I have called them to complain numerous times! After the last strike, many facilities only sort once or twice a week now with limited staff.

I had a weird good/bad experience. I sent my passport for renewal to Ottawa by Canada Post Courier service = $14.00. When I tried to track the parcel they couldn't find it. After 3 days they admitted it was lost and refunded my $14.00 (no great consolation as I still did not have a passport).

On the fourth day my new passport was delivered to me!! Absolutely surreal.

Canada post issues

I had called and received a "ticket" number for my complaint last week and today I receive an email from them, stating problems were all sorted, and this ticket is now CLOSED.

I wanted to know what steps were taken to correct this issue, and ensure me that I would not be spending extra postage when they "mis-deliver" mail.

hmmmm still no answer.

Now you went and done it...

Pissed me off by talking about Canada Post. Canada Post is as useless as ____ (fill in the blanks with your favorite useless quote).

Our story:

Talked to our local P.O. since we had a letter that had to be in Minneapolis, MN within the week. She advised to use "Express Post" as it was the fastest service (3 days) and "you can track your shipment online. Way cool, let's do that" we said and paid our $18.00 and off it went. Or so we thought...

We tracked it and the next morning, it's still at the local office. Hasn't been picked up yet. The next morning, shows picked up and is in Winnipeg sorting. The next day, it's crossed into the US but doesn't say where it is. We are in contact with our client in Minneapolis and she hasn't received it so we contact Canada Post.

Are you ready for this... "We cannot track once it goes into another country because US postal is now responsible for it". After going ballistic and expressing disbelief at the complete load of hooey of what we were sold and actual service we asked her to track it for us. She said she couldn't be would refund our money. I took it...

So 10 days later, our client recieved the Express Post we had sent. The problem is that they recieved it 3 days later than the copy of original documents that was sent by regular mail that same day. It took Canada Post a total of 14 days for Express Post and 4 days for regular mail.

And btw, doesn't Canada Post own Purolator? For $25 bucks, I could have had it overnight air and could have tracked it online...

Thank god for email and direct deposit, we have reduced our postage costs from close to $1000 per month to about $150 per month including our Purolator costs.

So all I have to say is that Canada Post is the biggest piece of crap ever invented and they can die and I couldn't give a rats a$$ if every overpaid employee goes on friggin welfare...

Wow, I'm bitter but, as my sister (who works for Canada Post) tells me all the time "Don't hold back, tell me exactly how you feel" lol...

Two days in a row our multi unit complex has got no mail. We called our reliable Canada Post. We get a ticket # and told we will look into it. Ya right they will. How are small businesses that rely on cheques in the mail supposed to run our businesses ?
