Afternoon all. Anyone have any experience with CAI Group (Chalk Air) , CAI Logistics Moncton, NB with respect to service? Thanks in advance.

I tried the search function and nothing came up. This link mostly deals with payments....I was looking for service but am thinking twice about this one now....thanks Nawk.

Service wise I have not had any issues with them at all.

But have not used for couple months as per Nawk's reference concern about using carriers that don't/can't pay their bills.

We dealt with them a couple years ago, they had a dispatcher named Arnold, not sure if he is still there. Odds of pickup were 50/50, they outsource pickups in Montreal and rarely had any accurate info. Deliveries were also 50/50 at best. Regardless of credit worthiness and bankruptcy issues now, their service was never good. I would not trust them.

I spoke to Arnold a few times and he seemed like a good guy but we never gave them business. Got some quotes from them and I have seen their equipment on the road. Yes, they do break bulk at Montreal and just outside of Quebec City and use outside carriers. Their forte is Gander/Happy Valley and that area. They pretty much have a lock on that area because they told me even Midland and other maritime carrierrs use CAI as the delivery carrier. I don't know if they really have any other direct competitors.
