Can anyone shed light on what's going on with C.C.E.I. Enterprises? I'm chasing them for an outstanding freight bill for $1,600.00 owed to Fastball Freight, Inc., this stems from a June 8th, 2011 move. The dialogue payment delays/put-offs. Today their accounts payable said "We still cannot pay you do what you have to do".

Go direct to the owner of the goods and let them know the situation....most times this approach has worked for us...good luck.

They have some nice stuff running up and down the highways from what I have seen latly. We had to chase them years ago for some money, but have not dealt with them since. Dealt with Carl Carter (Owner?) to eventually get paid in 2 installments about a year after the load actually shipped.

We have dealt with them for over 10 years and consider them a quality customer. If any issues arise, calling Carl Carter( Owner) quickly resolves any concerns.

I appreciate all the input. However,To set the record straight Amy in accounts payable stated "Per upper management they are unable to pay the $1,600.00 and the trucker needs to do what he has to do". I've dealt with my fare share of straight forwardness and that type of response is not in the mix. I will attempt to reach Carl Carter.

Wish I saw this a while ago! I had the "pleasure" of dealing with these deadbeats. I wouldn't agree to take the load with their terms and had them express different terms on the load confirmation...which means crap to them. They advised me the owner was away...every time I call. They have no idea when they can pay me, no idea when the owner will be in and said to "do what I feel I need to do" in order to collect. Uh, ok...thanks for the approval? I was also advised that this would be the last time they would deal with me since I was trying to collect and threatening to call their customer and Link.

Really? You won't deal with ME anymore? Really? Is that a threat or a promise???

I have reported to Link, we will see where that goes.
