Is anyone else having problems collecting from C&A Projects in Surrey, BC.? We booked the order through a sales office in Brampton, they also have a sales office in Deux Montagnes, PQ according to Link. Did the work on Feb 4th and still have not received payment. Tony in AP is next to impossible to get a hold of.

Haven't dealt with them, the office in Quebec is closed.
I know they had wanted to set-up the office in Quebec ( which was at a residence ) and then they closed it after about 3 weeks.

I wouldn't be suprised if the Brampton is the same type of operations ( residential )

The Link should really do more follow-up and investigate companies.

Do not use these guys, I have been chasing them for months. 160 days over due, no one calls back, tells you they will have someone get back to you, but never recieve a call. These guys are taking freight double brokering and not paying. Talked to the carrier they got the freight from, and they were paid months ago. Definetley put these guys on your DO NOT USE LIST! I gave up today, and sent them to my collections guy. Almost assured you will not recieve payment from them.

Just an update, we received a cheque yesterday for the Feb invoice. Guess we got lucky, only 115 days to get paid.

C & A Projects Ltd.

We recv'd a cheque today after sending a demand letter that if payment was not recv'd in my office by June 3 - small claims court.

It took them 60 days to pay.....now I hope that the cheque will clear.

They have closed the doors, have spoken to companys that have lost anywhere from $5000.00 to 50,000.00. They bounced a cheque on us today for $3000.00. They are officially done. So if your looking for payment, I wouldnt hold my breath.

I saw their trucks on road on Monday in Surrey, BC.

They just changed the name - same yard - same trucks with different name on it. At least saw two trucks with new name on them. Also - one other truck with C & A name still on park in front of yard on the street.

Their new name is Sea Breeze or Breeze...something like that.

Be careful.

Does anyone have the exact new name of company?

I'd also appreciate if anyone has any way to get in touch with George, Tony, or any of the former C&A dispatchers. Should I make any progress on how to go about getting the money owed to me, I will fill everyone in here.

Wow, that is news to me that they shut down C & A Projects and opened under a new name. I just received a message as part of a mass email from Walt this week. He is a former dispatcher who worked in the ON office. The email did not say much other than he is no longer at C & A projects and he will send out another email when he has new permanet one. He said he is making a change but could not disclose where he will be working and will send out an update soon.

Last year they moved several of our loads, late a few times but generally not many issues. However 2011 comes and problems after problems. We caught them double brokering one our loads earlier this year and are now on our DNU list. I am too interested to hear the new company name.

I just checked the Link and you if you search members C & A for both BC and ON they are there. I guess until the link no longer receives payment they will remain as an active member.

Just some good advice don't be naive and get hook again I would stay the heck away from Walt regardless what business name he choices to go by. Of course they will play dumb especially if you cater into it. For the sake of the trucking industry by getting Walt exact new business name, exposed them to the trucking industry, Load Link etc. The load that I'm familiar with is Rockport which is in the mix. What's the word on Rockport Carrier Co. in the industry? I've not seen any incentive on their part to help the victimized freight owners operators.

I'm on the phone with Rockport as I typing this their telling me that Walt's bank is allegedly paying off the freight bills (could be here say, not sure) Rockport would not give me the bank name. If anyone has any information call me asap at 1-888-634-5251.

Thanks,
Tom

C&a projects

I have info on them...they are apparently opening up under another company name and still operating. I called link on 7/25 to complain and was advised that they were tossed off link on 1/7/11. The very next day, 7/26/11, the brampton office of c&a projects logged in at 8:02am...how is this possibly if they were tossed? I contacted the customer and he advised me that he was holding back $$ due to other calls he received from carriers looking for $$. Contact me if you want his #. 888-350-9894

C & A project

on our dnu list... got in touch with shipper immediately, and was paid by shipper; before he sent cheque to C&A....

I received a call last night from the RCMP looking for C&A Projects or anyone affiliated with their company. I found this interesting...sounds like more going on than just a bankruptcy. Anyone that wants the #, let me know.
