Did a move to Amazon for them and when the driver arrived at 10pm apt they made him wait 11 hours, we added 462.50 for lay over and waiting time, they approved it on the phone and never sent in rate con and then short paid us.....

Amazon said they will be reaching out to the seller, so we might get paid directly from the acutely customer.

I AM NOTICING A LOT LATELY THAT BROKERS FOR AMAZON DO NOT PAY WAITING TIME AT ALL. THIS HAS ALSO BEEN AN ISSUE, TO THE POINT WE REFUSE NOW TO DELIVER DIRECT TO AMAZON.

We do a lot of daily deliveries with FTL and LTL to various AMZN locations in the GHTA, excess detention of greater than 1 hour for a trailer, or 30 mins for LTL seems be triggered on some loads only... we do get a fair share of "timely offloads", however our clients pay all required additional fees such as detention fees when required.

I guess its good to be selective with your broker client base. Not paying detention would only happen once, then they would be needing to find a new carrier :)

No BS games here....

fair answer ive just noticed it a lot and as CRB says we have had a very hard time collecting. But for sure you must always be selective and research the people you do work with.

we have been very successful though not delivering straight throught to them so it must not be just us and CRB experiencing this.

We'ev done our fair share of Amazon direct deliveries and as @tasuinam said, we outright refuse them. the big 3 TQL, JB HUNT and CHR have stiffed us on DET/Layovers for those deliveries. We'ev reached out to Amazon directly and got time stamps and supporting documentation for DET but that was as far as they could help us. Had a driver almost sit and wait to offload for about 7 hours once and that was the end of that. Its funny though JB hunt gets creative now and when they post the loads they don't mention and outright try to hide the fact its going to an Amazon DC, and once your on the hook with them for the load and you get the rate con and realize its Amazon they threaten you by saying if you reject the tender its considered a "fallout" and we will not use you for anything moving forward.

TO ADD: its a night and day difference when its through Amazon Relay, it still sucks when the drivers pretty much cans their entire day just sitting in their truck but at least there's no fuss when it comes to getting paid.

And I'ev noticed now alot of the Vendor pick ups show up on the link and through brokers...theres a reason for that. Sooner or later they will have to fix the issue till then the freight will sit on the dock.

@Melroy75 we have also stopped using JB Hunt as well lol. Even through they still email us we have seperated ourselves from them for the same reason... again you really have to do your research now and make sure you know who your carring for and if your going to get paid, its a scary place right now out there.

You owe it to yourself to visit: theburalimited.com/about
That is mind blowing! I don’t think I would even ask these folks what time it was, let alone trust them with my customers freight! I know when English is someone’s second language, problems in communication can occur. However this is a website we’re talking about not a conversation. No one took the time to review it, had it proof read, gave it to a native English speaker for a quick once over? Come on….that is just lazy and in my opinion very unprofessional.

Most of the amazon loads we've been getting offered are from carriers not even brokers. They book via amazon relay I assume because they make our drivers use the relay app for tracking etc.

Only did 2 where one got cancelled on us while we were waiting 3 hours... this load was supposed to take us ON to QC so we can bring our regular backhaul.. ended up having to go empty but got the TONU.

2nd load was from a different carrier where we had 4 hours waiting but did not get paid any waiting time.

They do not have an active MC or USDOT under safer, checked their load link postings which consist of mostly canada wide lanes with a couple interstate 'test' postings. Also a few postings ON to WA/FL
