We had a call looking for a load from Quebec to Ontario off a link posting.
'Bob' from Bridgepoint Logistics Inc said he had a truck. We asked for papers and references.
His paperwork shows Bridgepoint 'Express' Inc, while his link profile shows Bridgepoint 'Logistics' Inc. Paperwork has 3 different addresses on it, also shows it's former company name of 'Heritaze Transport Inc (not a typo on Heritaze). Funny thing is, they included their Notice of Non-Compliance with their paperwork...oops.
References: 3 references. I usually call the first one last...so reached one of the other two...shady at best, like they were all friends just giving BS reviews. Then I called the first reference, Atlas Transport Inc. I asked if they knew of Bridgepoint and got the "hmmm, Bridgepoint...Bridgepoint...let me think...ah, yes, I remember them....blah blah blah, then gave a rave review". Anyway, if you pull up Bridgepoint Logistics' link profile, under company info, it shows Atlas Transport website and email as their contact info.... All and all, these are a bunch of shady characters, certainly all in this together. The voice of the guy at Atlas was very familiar, I can't place him though. A south African accent I think... regardless, I've blocked them already, I suggest you all do your own due diligence ahead of using any of these companies. If I can see all this clear as day, maybe the Link could work a bit harder to reduce fraudulent customers...even if it means losing a couple subscriptions.
