Sadly this carrier turned out to be one of the worst I've ever worked with.
Found them on Loadlilnk to run Ontario to Quebec. The coordinator I was speaking with was helpful and knowledgeable and their rates were decent.
I scheduled 4 round trip, LTL shipments with them right away. Upon inquiry about why the 4th delivery wasn't made just like the 1st three, I was then told that I need to pay my invoice up front before they would deliver the 4th. Claimed our credit didn't meet their requirements. I naturally asked why I wasn't told that up front. Either way I would have paid, but I should have been told from the get-go.
The situation became desperate as there were workers waiting for this delivery, and they would only accept etransfer. We made payment that day (thursday) and was told the shipment would deliver that day; never happened. I was then told it would deliver on Friday; that never happened either. No email, no phone call to let me know. 2 days in a row it cost me money for the people waiting for this shipment and Baymeadows was a no show.
In the original dispatch they were contracted to pick up freight from these locations, which took them days to complete and give lie after lie as to when they would pick up, and when they were finally picked up, and a delivery date promised, we were once again held hostage to them and told us that we needed to pay before they would return our customers freight. We had to threaten Baymeadow with the police and reporting the freight stolen, and then they finally delivered. But that weren't done - the freight showed up brutally damaged. Like badly damaged; like someone tossed it around the back of the truck. Obviously I've opened a claim but BE CAREFUL and PROCEED WITH CAUTION and if you can avoid using them, I would.
