Drivers are calling us on loads they've pulled for us before trying to get dispatched & directions, plus Rob has admitted he has gone behind our back to find the client to steal the loads from us.

Be careful Canadian Brokers, this carrier will hurt you!

Good morning,

Although we only hook up about once a month or so, our experiences with Gavin Transport have always been professional. The services received were always top notch and we've never had a shipper, consignee or any other party listed on any of the paperwork receive calls or solicitation from the carrier after having done the work for us.

The important thing is to maintain a strong relationship with the customer and to service the hell out of them so that if someone were to try and backsolicit, it would never affect your business.

Perhaps something else went on here and we're missing some of the details...

Nothing personal, I just disagree with bashing this perfectly good carrier.

This is only our side of things, maybe not the same as everyone else's.

All that is fine, just putting it out there.

All stories have 2 sides.

My drivers are calling on what? The last thing I did for you was March 2010.

And we figured out what happened - we were delivering into a place in Ohio for our good friend and customer Parasite. The phone number we had in the system was G Roch's number.

We did a pick up at this place in Ohio for G Roch back in 2007 and G Roch put their phone number down for the shippers number. We tried to call Shawn and explain all this and he went all "double speak" on us. How we are back solicting his customer. I guess delivering into a double brokers co brokered account when you had pick up there for them 5 years prior -and they put their phone number down as the shippers phone number - is back soliciting in Quebec eh Shawn?..

Get all the facts before you try and slander me..

I think you should elaborate more regarding your original post here. Rob is a Senior member and well respected on the forum. This is quite an accusation. And if Rob hasn't worked with your company in over 2 years - why post about this now?

Unless this is a recent occurrence - it should have been addressed between yourself and Rob quite some time ago.

There are 2 sides to every story - perhaps you should continue discussions via PM to resolve any issue.
 
I'm sorry...this has nothing to do with me...but this is just nonsense. This seems like a perfectly honest mistake. Any one of us in the trucking business could have and probably has called the wrong number at one point or another. Plus, a driver is surely not trying to back solicite. They call for directions and other misc. details, but not to try and steal business.
Again, sorry, not my business, just my humble opinion.
 
We've used Gavin Transportation on many occasions. Always picks up and delivers on time and have never try to back solicit.
A+ carrier on our side.
 
Thank you too everyone that has stood up for us here at Gavin. Many of you will recall I have called GROCH out on many occasions here on the fourm even back when he was ROCA and would not admit he was GRoch then. I guess an innocent mistake of an old address in my system with his number as the shipper is back solicitation or his way of trying to get back at me. Thank you too all that that have called emailed and stood up here for us we do not back door anyone including the scourge of the industy like double brokering types...:):):)

Shawn this forum is about sharing and helping each other, not about getting back at others you feel you have been wronged by.

You started this thread as a vendetta against a well respected member, it has been proved incorrect by all and now you take shots at us all. Do you really think your word will mean anything???
