They have been gone since the Spring of last year - burned us for $6300 - new customer and we only did 2 loads with them. Their numbers have been out of service since Spring 2007. What address/phone number do you have for them? I have 15 Elizabeth Street - Orangeville - 519-940-3272. Owner is Jeff Menzies - his home# is 519-928-9943. The collection company bombarded him with house calls - he said he wasn't the owner - the owner was in the hospital and not doing well - for the collection company to "back off" and leave them alone....
I can't believe that over a year later - they are still doing business...were your loads with them link postings?

I did not get his name but looking back in my correspondence - Garth Fair was noted down. I believe he had something to do with B.C.C. and is not a reputable character. Jeff is listed as the owner on our credit application - I doubt there was even another individual...I am sure Jeff either started up again or is working for someone else. Did you try to collect from the shipper? We were successful with collecting on one of our invoices - the other one is still in progress - well over a year later. We are prepared to take them to small claims...

They re-opened in Mississauga on Drew Road. If I remember right they call themselves Checkmate Transport, Ultimate Freight Service, Micro Haulage...what else lets see.......Willowcreek International.
They are still in their offices but Menzies dyed his hair black and grew some face hair, my guess is alot of people are after him. He owes me about 2 grand and every time you get in contact with them the owner "Bill" or Garth or whatever Fair's first name is seems to always be sick. Menzies presented himself as the owner several times but Bill/Garth was the money man.....the police don't seem to want to do anythinig about these guys.
The address is 1937 Drew Road or around there - it's a white stone building with a blue pin stripe on it. I'd post the pic from google earth but I can't figure out how. They are right beside a little place called the Punjabi Grill. The inside corner office - it's usually locked but Jeff will answer if you pound on the door door long enough..these guys are scumbags.

W.C. Transport/Ultimate Freight Co.
I worked for these guys this summer and they ripped me off for $6000. Jeff and John worked in the office. When I did an online search of their registered business, I found a company named Ultimate Freight co. owned by ***** **** (I have removed this name, because I have reason to believe that the name was used fraudulently, and this person is actually also a victim). They were operating out of Milton under the names W.C. Transport and Ultimate Freight Company...they disappeared then, but I have reason to believe that they have re-opened in Etobicoke (46 Meridian Rd. Unit 3)...I'm not 100% positive that it is them, but if not, I'm sure they have re-opened and are operating somewhere in South-Eastern Ontario.
I am in contact with one other driver who is owed $3000. If you're reading this and you're also a victim of these crooks, please contact me...I'd love to go after them (legally). It is a shame that they keep doing this to honest people.

They got me for 2 grand. I heard of another guy they got for over 30 grand, and almost bankrupted him personally.
The best place to start is with the ministry of consumer affairs, they will shut them down, fine them or put them in jail.
The police really have no interest in chasing these guys -

Menzies owned a co. named B.C.C. and he closed shop in 2007 after being open for 8 years. He is now a sales consultant.
Fair has worked with factoring since 2004.
Owner of UFC and Checkmate was John Ramanis and a silent owner named Gabe??? They closed last year. Ramanis lives in Toronto as does Gabe.

Thanks bcguitar....Menzies may have worked at some of those places but we confirmed he has his own sales consultant co. and Fair has worked with a factoring company since 2004....We will look into Gabor as client - has small debt owed by them. Ramanis is working as an intown dispatcher now. No idea re: Gabor but both live in Toronto. Gabor also owned a company in Windsor and closed within a month in 2009. Thanks

Update.
Ramanis, who was sole owner of CM/Checkmate and Ultimate, advises us that he went out of business about a year ago, but still is working on paying parties. He admited that he was the sole owner, although he never sold any shares to Gabe.
Upon speaking with Fair, who assisted Ramanis with factoring/financing, he confirmed to us that Ramanis owes them funds, but believes Ramanis was planing on paying all parties and is aware Ramanis was owed funds from other parties, including HST.
He suggested to issue a claim. Ramanis provided us with an email address also to contact if anyone needs. He advised that he works as an employee as a dispatcher in town but would not confirm where.
