Hi Gord,

Neil Smith here, partner at Ashron Transport. Note that we are a carrier as well with 13 trucks of our own on the road and we are expanding. Can I ask who you are? I don't know if we have spoken which would surprise me if you have had trouble collecting because you would naturally end up speaking to me or my partner, Leo Lefebvre, if there was a serious problem.

We had slowed down our payments almost 1 year ago from 30 to 45-60 days and this summer it was even a bit more. We advise our carriers that this is the situation when we book. If the dispatcher didn't advise you of this, I apologize. If you have invoices from July unpaid, I am surprised because I verify our AP aging weekly to make sure all is ok. Anyone remaining unpaid from July would have had a problem of some sort with a claim or their documentation.

Our payments are catching up and we hope to return to 30 days within the next few months as we appreciate all our carrrier relationships. We have a few clients with regular business who have also slowed down their payments to us and it has made it more difficult to meet our normal payment schedule.

We are heathy and very busy and I invite anyone who is having trouble or who has had trouble collecting to call me directly in the office 450-692-0444/877-692-0444 or on my cel. at 514-913-3480. We're all in the same situation, trying to move our own trucks and satisfy our clients by brokering loads we can't handle and and we will work out any problems, collections or otherwise, with our partners.

Please feel free to call me Gord.

Thanks

For the record, I received no call from Gord any any others.

Anyone reading this or checking this thread, feel free to call me.

We are not a big broker as we have our own small fleet to cover, but we are booking several LTL and FTL loads every week to other carriers and the payments are catching up. We are currently between 30 and 60 days, depending on the situation and we hope to reduce to 30 by the new year.

Tks & b. rgds,

This is a forum for carriers to talk to other carriers about who pays and who doesn't. I'm not trying to damage Ashron's business in any way. I'm just stating that they don't pay as fast as they used to.

p.s. you still have 10 invoices over 100 days.

Hi Gord,

Sorry, I still don't know who you are but I appreciate your mentioning that we are paying, because we are sending regular payments to all vendors.

Again, anyone reading this, please feel free to call me directly.
