Are these container haulers in Toronto on strike again???

With the rates that these dudes were getting paid to move cans in the GTA, it is no surprise that they organized and went on strike! I wouldn't drive my car around the city for what they were getting. The freight forwarders and steamship companies will just have to pay a decent rate, simple as that, or it will happen again.
Not to sound like Jimmy Hoffa, but power to them!

I have found in the past that once the rates are raised, there will be a group of individuals from the same union going around and under cutting the rest to get more work. The one down fall for them and the union that I see is that if the steamship lines and the freight forwarders increase the amount they are playing there will be more trucking companies getting into the container business. Most have stayed away because the rates that containers were being moved for was low for the aggravation you had to put up with at the rail yards and wait times. The other down fall is I have heard from companies (who did not get their containers during the strike) that they will be moving their container carrier to someone who is not affiliated with this union and that has more company drivers than owner operators. If this happens who knows!
This is only my 2 cents but I believe this will happen.
