Appt. Times - Pet Peeve

Why why why do brokers not give you the corrcet appt. time
I usually call to confirm the time - and am clear I am not back soliciting - and today I have a Friday 20:00 delivery instead of the 8:00am I was told ... this would have resulted in me not moving the load ....
UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a request - do not screw over a carrier ... we are like elephants ... have great long term memory

Because not all brokers and even carriers using convinient military 24 hrs system..

...as a broker, I will put an hour earlier than the pick up / delivery for sensitive clients. I'm ok eating an hour waiting time here and there when it takes over 2 hours.
With ELDs in place a 12 hour difference in appointment times like the one you listed above can be crippling for a driver's week and your future relationship with a carrier
