Can you guys please put this out to see if anyone else has had this happen recently and to also alert the trucking community of this scam.
M.L Sullivan Insurance Agency contacted us and stated that someone named Don is using their company and one of their cleints-Max Freight out of Northbrook, IL to steal loads. This person Don will fax a bogus certificate of insurance and a bogus USDOT certificate of operating authority to brokers in Canada, claiming to be the Canadian liaison of these companies. The loads are picked up and never delivered.
