Was a newer carrier for us, handled a 1 skid shipment in October, GTA to Windsor. Customer advising a few weeks later they showed up and asked them to work direct on any future business from their facility to London-Windsor corridor. Thankful for the relationship with the customer on this one. They have advised they would never work directly with someone that would solicit business this way. If this is how they get new customers, how do they truly handle the freight, with care?

I find the usual reason for back solicitation is sheer laziness. Why pound the pavement looking for shipments that fit your lanes when you can just steal someone's? Sure, maybe it could just be a coincidence, but not likely.

That and lack of respect for the Trucking community , we all need to work together , not against each other.
