Hello all,

I am looking for updates on this carrier.

Have them on 3 long hauls this week ns -ca and we got off to a really rocky start this morning on the first load.

Hopefully the disconnect is me being an asshole and not them a bad carrier.

Can anyone comment on Alpha trans ltd ?

Shayne we have used them a lot to CA over the years and have had no real issues with them.

I just remember them calling us on some postings years ago from Quebec going to California. We were very clear that the loads couldn't be cross-docked (so the all-too-common small Ontario carrier who will book the loads from QC with ABC Transport to a cross-dock facility in ON where they will hop on and deliver to Cali... they never ask what the load is, if it can be safely handled or any pertinent info, they normally don't care about damaging goods... Anyway, they booked 4 loads with one of our dispatchers, which i found a bit fishy that they had so much availability on one day for all these loads, so i called Harman (don't know if he is still there) to ensure that he knew these loads could not be transferred. He confirmed, no problem. Low and behold, one of our regular carriers we use for QC-ON shows up at the pickup. I had the shipper reach out to me when the trucks arrived since i had a funny feeling from the get go. I called our contact at the pickup carrier's company, and all he knew was that he was dropping the load at Alpha Trans' dock. When i called Harmon to tell him the loads would not be loaded, he tried keeping the sham going by telling me its his partner and they take their trailers all the way to California.....la la la. Anyway, that's my story and last time we worked with them. Unfortunate, because we did have a good experience with them prior, but who knows, maybe we just didn't catch them the first time around.

whats the partner company

Update:

First bad experience was me being a jerk. Nothing bad to say.

I will say they have only been sending their trailers to the pickup and trucks that have their name. As far as I know they don't Xdock anything

More loads loaded long distance for Ca this week in NS
