I have moved many loads for Airoute Cargo and have always found they were slow payers. Now they are going out of business and when I call they claim they don't know what will happen with their outstanding invoices. I called their Mississauga location and they said they were only moving air freight. So not too sure who is telling the truth or not but be aware something i8s up over there and if they owe you, you might not get it....Regards Amy

I should have known something was up....they called me Friday (Feb 28)looking for payment of 4 invoices dated Jan 31. Technically not even 30 days old....we always pay bills at the 30 day mark, so I was a little bewildered when they called me.
Then we called Monday to book a load and were told they were all told that the company was closing...just like that...no explanation

They are filing for bankruptcy if you owe them I wouldn't pay them anything, they aren't paying anyone so they deserve their money.

I paid those invoices and now they are bugging for the remainder of 3 invoices we have dated end Feb.

Does anyone know if they double broker? I don't wanna pay them and then have someone else chasing me for the money!

I would "flat out" ask what the current status of the company is. We all know what has been going on with Airoute - but if they are bugging for monies not even due yet - I would be concerned.

Ask if the business is still operating and/or have filed for closure. Tell them you are concerned with the day to day operations of Airoute being "up in the air" and need some assurances before remitting payment.

You are in your full right to ask...I know I would....you don't want "haunting" charges coming back 3-6 months later when Airoute is long gone....

They don't want to give straight answers, each branch says something different. It's sad a well known company like that has resulted to moving like those criminal companies. Since I started in this business I've known Airoute
