Gave Accord Transportation ( California Office ) a shipment from California to Edmonton, AB. Sent all the details tuesday. Pikcup was yesterday. Charles Walker, manager there ( sort of ! ) asked me to sign and fax back the credit application even if he had our credit on hands. I sent it back to him sign by my boss at 1h30 pm my time and also sent him an e-mail confirming I was faxing it. Today, after a call from my customer, I discovered that nobody showed to pick the freight up ! I called Charles back and he told me that he never received anything and booked his truck somewhere else and never called me back. I asked him why didn't he let me know he didn't received his form signed. He said he called me a couple of time yesterday and told me he cannot pickup our freight if he don't have this sign...and he never called me yesterday...now it's 11h30 am Ca time, that freight have to be in Edmonton monday, and my shipper is closed on fridays !! Yeah for me, I will loose a customer because of someone who cannot do his job correctly and don't bother with calling his customer. All that probably because we are canadian and he's in US.

Even an e-mail. He did had my e-mail address, and I sent him a couple of e-mails in the day, everything was fine...
I do know, with my experience that I will run into people like that, and I can deal with that just fine. But in that case, if I cannot find someone today, I will probably loose my customer. THAT I cannot deal with. Those people are trusting us in handling their loads, and it's our responsability to try and make things right. Not all brokers think like that, but we are a very customer-centered company here, and bullshit like that, we cannot stand and we don't do that to our customers !
