Abacus Truck Lines

If he was simply a dispatcher, i don't understand what the issue was? If they ran a trucking company for many years and if it failed, doesn't he have the right to get back up and try again? It is tough for carriers, owner operators and brokers.

Nothing sounds right.. your word.. you dispatched the load.. its your name tattooed to it.. dispatching loads knowing full well no one will be paid.. we'll .... not right.. even got a posted dated chq .. for it to bounce.... who does that? Lesson learned.. your company or not.. new company.. whos to say you didnt shut down and start up again ... no proof.. but hey... good luck out there.. it's tough..

I definitely understand whole-heartedly where you're coming from Matthew, I've been in your shoes too - I managed that company for 15 years prior to the new owner taking over - so I too have been there, done that as well - had to chase a lot of bad debts. If you have questions, you're welcome to call me anytime and I would be happy to explain further about my transition - but the matter of the fact is, I did dispatch a lot of loads yes and yes my name was tattooed on it - for a company owner who kept making false promises to me as well, over and over again, not only just to carriers. If you got a post dated check, it was the owner that wrote it, and signed it... not me - so really, he is the fraudulent party here in my humble opinion. I too, find that grossly unprofessional if it didn't clear (which I can only assume it didn't from your comments )- just another massive reason why I left. So, lesson learned for me too - don't put your faith in people who constantly just lie and let you down - so the egg is on my face as well most definitely.

As for the new company, it is mine and mine alone, I would never hire my old boss to work for me in a million years - I would never treat my staff, colleagues, customers or friends in this manner. I plan to grow as a professional and ethical business, and again, I do hope you'll consider doing business with me should the situation arise -as noted previously, I will be doing a cash before/on delivery until I've gained a trust worthy credit limit with your company.

Thanks again for your feedback and welcome your comments, and call anytime,
