HI,
We received a request for multiple lanes for usa to usa shipping. Dry Foods etc.. Dock to Dock. We quoted high and didn't try to be competitive.. We won all the work??!! Wow!!
We asked this person for their information and for the company's Chief Communications officer, there were so many spelling mistakes... Comical even!

So many red flags, so we asked for Identification, and received it.. ? Actual piece of id with this person's face on it, and a phone bill. $20 phone bill per month?
Personal address was given..

The person themselves won't give us any other information about Campbells, and the credit application wouldn't include any other people at the company which we have asked for multiple times other people who work at "campbells". This is the best scam we have ever encountered.
Did give us references for other companies that this person ahs worked with, and 2 don't exist, and one is registered in Guana.
Not a single phone number supplied had a link to anything legit on google.

He says, when I asked for other contacts at the company, that they would be supplied after the first shipment has moved... so weird.

We asked for the company 1-page information sheet. It would have all company contacts on it including supplier references, banking information and banking officers etc.. Hasn't replied since.

"Anthony Sanzio" <[email protected]> <<---------------can't find this domain for Campbells..

Then I called Campbells to confirm any of this, and they said that the person could work for them, but noboby can give any information beyond that..

You may want to google buddy it comes up as Campbells Company unless he is really good

I know.. I think very good.

But when I phoned Campbells, their own company's customer service can't confirm the domain belongs to them. Just a "don't think so". Never seen it before but I'm not 100% sure, it's a big company csr person said..

Should be Campbells.com from all employees. Especially someone higher up like this person, right below the CEO as per LinkedIn profile.

And if you create a domain you can forward it to any other website.. so if you type in my company website I can have it directed to a different website.. easily.

And if I was Campbell's I would probably have a better domain than (-ship.com)

And he won't supply a single other contact person from the entire organization?? Red flag..
I said that I require other contact person in case of his absence, so I need contact details including the controller or accountant who pays the bills..

There's also so many spelling mistakes on every level from email communications to the credit application form..

According to his LinkedIn profile, he's the communications officer. Figured his English should be better than the easy words he's spelling incorrectly.

His original request came in as an email lead from our website. We never reached out to them.

We believe that the real person lost his identification, and a scammer found it and has been using it. Maybe?

The person wont actually take a picture of themselves, only the identification is being used as proof of identity.

IMO it's not a legit person making this request, and I recommend just checking for yourself if contacted by this person.

As you said the biggest red flag is it pays well. Campbells out of Ohio and North Carolina to Ontario has been junk for years and then you get to go sit at Robert's warehouse for hours as they are slower than the second coming. Glad to see folks questioning it, Also the pic you posted looks like an old one as there is another pic of him aged quite a bit. The scammers are getting pretty good.

I'm sure it's a good scam, they created the domain campbellsoup-ship.com in Nov 2024 on namecheap.com.

They then took a picture and name of an employee off the Cambells Soup website. I do not believe for a minute that the Executive Vice President, Chief Communications Officer would be managing freight.

Finally, Campbell's Soup would ensure that their brand will never be compromised. The fact that it is missing an S tells me this has nothing to do with the main company. They would have used their existing domain services account to add a domain or use the current one they already have.
