A sad day for our industry

I recently learned of the passing of Bill Tackaberry, known on this site as Scam Chaser. Bill was a strong supporter of our industry and served for many years as chairman of the National Transportation Brokers Association. In addition, he was a very effective and successful paralegal having represented many carriers and freight brokers alike. Along with being a colleague, Bill was also my friend and I know I can speak for all those who knew him that his presence and his friendship will be sorely missed. My sincerest condolences to his family during this difficult time.

He was a wealth of knowledge and will be missed.

This industry is quickly running out of these types of individuals.

I had the chance to catch up with at him at length back in November at an industry dinner. He looked well, said he was really busy (due to industry "shenanigans") and was looking forward to the new year and perhaps some travel. This is sad news. Condolences to Karen and his family.
