Caught them double-brokering a load last week.

Happened to be that the customer whose freight it was is someone I've known for a few years. Confirmed with him and he didn't know who they were.

Not sure how they are able to pay us what is on our load confirmation, there really isn't enough margin spread to go through 2 brokers. Barely one actually.

WELL, My guess is that the person that picked up the freight is getting paid more than what you were paying. The key is, the carrier will not receive payment, while ADA will collect from you. I assume this is a load with some significant miles on it?

It's actually the opposite. I have a relationship with the actual customer and once we saw this load through our system (we had a truck with no load), I smelled a rat. My customer actually confirmed that they actually do not contract with A D A. The terms with the actual carrier they tendered to allow for brokering if need be, but not for them to broker to someone else to broker.

So basically, it's an alert that we caught it, and we're cutting it out.
