Please be careful with this carrier. They double brokered one of our shipments from Montreal, QC to Calgary, AB to Westx.

Our BOL is stamped with Westx Logistics Ltd. / MC047498 mentioning that they picked up and delivered the shipment.

Midwest's response as to why Westx is stamped on the BOL is because "This was dropped off at Westx dock in Calgary because driver arrived there on long weekend. "

After reviewing the email thread with the carrier (Midwest), they did not mention that they will be delivering to Westx. After Midwest/Westx delivered the freight to the final destination Midwest asked for quick pay.

Westx is mentioning that the shipment was dropped off at their facility in Calgary, AB but stamped on the BOL that they picked up & delivered the freight. Still not getting a clear answer about them actually picking up the freight or not.

No payment has been made to either party as of yet. We've been asking Westx to pay them direct but they are telling us to go to Midwest for payment. Westx won't confirm that if we pay Midwest that Westx won't seek for payment later if they don't get paid.

This is a reminder to ask the carrier for pictures of their trucks. I know that if I had trucks, I would show people pictures of them daily, like pictures of my kids in my wallet! I would be proud! So ask for pictures of their trucks, and tell them that they are not legit, because if they are truly legit, they will fight you and prove to you that they are legit..almost like they are proud of their baby..

Thank you for the reminder, I completely agree. If they truly had trucks, they’d likely share pictures and prove that they are legit.

I’ll make sure to ask for photos of their trucks to verify moving forward. If they’re legit, they should be willing to show us more evidence, just as you said.
