2015 Pan Am & Parapan Am Games - Surcharges

Checking to see where anyone is on this as I know a few National LTL carriers have announced they will have surcharges in the affected GTA zones for the games but nothing from truckload side at all.

Anyone here charging???

LMAO..... Why start when the PanAM is on..... we started billing Glen an extra 25% just because its located north of us... We call it the Georgina Northam Surcharge.... applies to every order

We're mixed. It turns out that some of our operations are planning on charging for this while others are not. With brokerage it's hard to gauge because in some cases we are spot rating the customer, though we do much more on a contract basis. We'll see how everyone reacts.
