Any feedback regarding service for Makellos Logistics. Paperwork shows Mississauga mailing address but insurance and permits has a Halifax address.

A lot of unsavory carriers are opening offices "Out of Province" all of a sudden in an effort to skirt their not so good operating record and get lower insurance.

We've chosen not to do business with any of these types.

So an American citizen can do US to US in a truck registered to a Canadian company? That sounds fishy....

They probably have DAT through Loadlink and are looking for an American carrier. Good luck in the Northeast we are getting a crazy amount of calls and emails to move freight in the US.

100% you can nothing fishy, you are registered to move freight with your DOT/MC# only thing stopping you from USA domestic is I.N.S. not D.O.T. If you didn't have DOT registration then you would have issues no matter what the drivers citizenship is.

Shayne where are you getting this from, please share these laws you are stating. If you do interstate and don't advise your insurance you can get a claim rejected but nothing illegal.

I believe though, a Canadian driver/carrier can pick up a load from Laredo that came from Mexico and make multiple US deliveries.

We used to do that all the time.
