DK Transport has anyone got lots form them and found that DK gave a load for more $$ than they are receiving for the load?

It is obvious that every load that DK Transport receives from legitimate freight brokers is rebrokered. I can never understand why brokers do not do a safer check. In this case, Katy Begard, the owner of DK has 1 truck according to safer. This appears to be a major scam.
More info to come.

By the way, There is another DK Transport in Montreal. I don't believe this is the same business as the Dollar Des Ormeau business , i spoke to the two brothers and they run the USA only.

DK Transport

They are not answering the phones now. At lease for me.

Riviera Finance has received a lot of the money and are not responding to carriers that have been taken advantage of.
They know they should withhold to make sure we, then end carrier gets the paid.

KARIE, FRANK, PAUL, ALEX. 218 Andras Street Montreal.

i spoke to a guy name Bill who is a paralegal, @ TCRC Collections

Hi,

I'd like to know how it went with DK Transport / 9213-9674 Quebec Inc... Did you guys get paid yet? We did a load for them from Montreal to BC a few weeks ago. The invoice technically isn't due yet... but from what I'm reading about them online... I'm a little concerned about whether we'll be getting paid or not.

Hi everyone,

I've been lurking on the forums for a year or so and I don't usually chime in, but I feel like this is important information that should be shared with you guys.

So I just wanted to add my two cents to this conversation,

We started using them recently and we had given them a few loads, some LTL, some FTL, but for some reason it was always too easy. Even though they are listed as only having the one tractor, they always had availability to pick-up anywhere.

That's when the first alarm bell rang for me, then they started asking for quickpay which isn't too much out of the ordinary but by that time I was already suspecting that they were probably double brokering the loads and maybe not paying the carrier that actually did the job.

After investigating a bit more, we found out that the factoring company which they were dealing with, put an end to their relationship with them once they started getting calls from unpaid carriers to get their money.

This is verifiable with Riviera finance

They are now on our DNU list and also we are holding payment to them in case we get calls from the actual carriers. Please note we haven't received such calls yet, but all our invoices aren't that old yet.

If you really have to use them, maybe ask for pictures of the loads when picked up, to confirm they are using their own equipment

Sorry for the long post, have a great week everyone, hope this helps someone,

You will probably receive court documents shortly. You have 20 days to response or the court could make a judgment in their favor. I just spoke with a Montreal broker who got scammed by DK as well..

I read on one the posts here that Riviera Finance could be responsible to make payments too truckers that delivered the freight. something about a trust account. Looks like we are out on 3 invoicess after all. Is this true?

Is DK going broke?

When i call DK now, all the phone lines are either dead or go to voice mail only. Does anyone have other phone numbers?

Does anyone have any new information on DK?
Some of the numbers i had are dead. I have been speaking to many people this morning. It sounds like there are many people that have not been paid. Is Riviera Finance involved somehow? are they responsible?

Since original posting on this thread on Sept 20, 2017, I've personally gotten calls from 2 other carriers saying DK has not paid them. I've also gotten calls from 2 freight brokers asking if DK paid us yet for the load we did. Our invoice for $6500 was due over a week ago and we have NOT received any payment from DK. We try calling 'Alex' and 'Kary' and their phones are no longer active. One of the freight brokers went directly to their warehouse location and they were no longer there.

It's clear to me that 'DK Transport /92139674 Quebec Inc.' was a SCAM from the very beginning. These losers had no intention of paying anyone for moving their freight. They simply moved as much freight as possible before people caught on to their scam. In turn, they fucked over all the carriers who hauled freight for them and the freight brokers who gave it to them. Now it is between the carriers and freight brokers to settle accounts between themselves. People like 'Alex' and 'Kary' are the scum of the Earth... too pathetic and incapable of making a living by providing a valuable service to others... they lie, cheat, and steal to get through life. Maybe one day they may change their ways and become men of character... but not this day.

We will be following up with the Shippers and Consignees who we hauled freight for through DK Transport. We have signed BOLs as proof of delivery and emails with DK proving us as the contracted Carrier. Ultimately... the Shippers and Consignees are the ones who are responsible to pay us for the work we did.
