They used to have a California consolidation program... where they would buy a full truck (BLM, Highlight other) and then fill it up with a ton of small LTL shipments. Not sure if they're still doing this or not though.

loaders, Frontline Carrier Systems is a company registered with Common Carrier authorities US DOT # 2238540, MC#594415. Out of curiosity I checked them out on https://safer.fmcsa.dot.gov/CompanySnapshot.aspx, the search revealed they got no trucks running inter jurisdictions. Most likely they got local trucks only. Hoe it helps.

I did the same check. They are registered both as a carrier and a broker, but no mileage reported and no vehicle or driver inspections. The website would lend me to believe that they are strictly a broker. Time for a visit to my operations office to set them straight about falling victim to a broker with a "carrier" sounding name! Just as a final thought, according to my operations team, they did a wonderful job at a very reasonable price. Still, it is a double broker situation which I cannot and will not allow nor condone.

I do recall visiting their facilities years ago, at least 12 years. At that time they had warehouse in California and a quite large warehouse in Oakville with their own straight trucks. The nature of their operations was freight consolidation. Do not think much changed nowadays.

Could only say they are very organized, pay their bills on time, absolutely no complaints in that department.

So, would it be safe to say that they "might" have local trucks both here in Ontario and perhaps in California as well? The line haul portion of the move however, is performed by other carriers? I am just trying to get a handle on what exactly it is that they do, so that we can govern ourselves accordingly in any future business transactions.

loaders, as far as I know they got local trucks at both ends. They consolidate LTL shipments and hire various carriers to move consolidated trailers Ontario-California-Ontario between their warehouses. That is how it been years ago when I visited their facilities. Hope it helps.
