Anyone know anything about Moonstone Transport in Milton? Are they any good?
 
I used them in 06 with no complaints on a full load to FL and they're still around so that seems positive.

They are in no way related to Moonstone Trasport in Barrie, ON. Nor as good either.
 
Moonstone Transport still OK?

Anyone used Moonstone lately?
I just saw on the Link that they posted a test load as Mercury Lines then re-posted the same load as Moonstone.
Anyone know what is going on with the two different names?
 
Have been on the DNU list for service reasons at 2 other companies. Picked up freight in Laredo that belonged to the carrier I was at then conveniently calls up after 2 weeks after picking up the goods, complaining they have the freight and didn't get a fax. Find out that the shipper just went ahead and gave the freight to them without checking, all the while having it on a I.T. bond from Laredo!! Moonstone was NOT EVEN A BONDED CARRIER! Luckily, somehow, they did get it cleared and I was able to confirm with USCBP that the bond, which was in our bond number, did get cancelled. Kiki was a prick and almost hostaged our own freight that he wasn't even supposed to get. Hell, the shipper just gave the freight away on our bond! They do not care about freight and, for that matter, appear to not care that they are moving bonded freight out of Laredo on a regular basis without accreditation from USCBP. Avoid like H1N1.
 
Funny how there are 3 Moonstones in Ontario -- Moonstone from the Barrie area (good), Moonstone Motor from Mississauga (good) and this one ... which we don't use, but have notes about conditional safety rating.
 
I know the "GOOD MOONSTONE" owner personally and know of their operaton very well...NO COMPARISON...how anyone can mix these two companies up is beyond me!...You can start off by looking at equipment...Moonstone inc has fantastic looking trucks on the road...with a trademarked logo ..(YES ..milton scoffed and is in violation of using it) which stands way out ...they have a phenomonal service record as well as safety record...have every available criteria available ...excellent drivers and excellent dispatch...they are one of the companies around that put this business back in a good light. Its a shame they have to do deal with a company that mimic's them. And they are not the only one it happens to...we all know what these character's are up to when the make their names and logo's similar.

I agree, he is an out right ass!!! I advised him it wasnt a good way to keep customers, too bad because the girls there are nice.

Listen - everyone needs to see both sides of the pic. Let me tell you about Moonstone - the owner Kiki drove over 2m miles with companies Like Arnold Bros as an O/O. Then Moonstone - in business since 2001.

These days we have 70 power units - all company trucks. We have more then 32+ drivers working with us since day one.
At Moonstone we try to keep everyone happy with our service - but tell me - are you able too keep everyone happy? I don't think so.

Moonstone Transport Ltd. was registered as and doing business as "Moonstone Transport Ltd." from day one.
Hillsdale based company was an Ont. Inc company and DBA as Moonstone Transport - then they changed their name as Moonstone Inc.

There is no competition between both companies because one is 3-4 times bigger then the other one and got all company trucks with satellite tracking and 24/7 dispatch.

Salma - Mercury Lines was in same building and their internet was down. So all we did was post a load for them with comments to help them during down time.

I have Moonstone Transport Ltd in Hornby ON, received excellent service from them and would use them again.

Yes I have used them as a Carrier and service was good. However as a broker to try to get money from them is very bad. 90 plus days then a bounced cheque. Cheques in the mail excuse from Kiki many times. Finaly pick up a new cheque a week later ( had to park between the Hummer and the Lincoln) that is from their other company that is closed. Finally paid $700.00 in 5 months.

Never take a load from them again and with this experience I will not give them a load again.
 
Lost over 100 payments - you get paid anyway.
