Load Board

Either loadlink or rely on one of the big brokers to fill your trucks. No other real option for boards

See above only other thing i could say is find your own shippers those that live by the link die by the link. Hearing outbound is pretty slow is that true?
If I don't use LOADLINK at all, what product can replace it, because it is very expensive

Same conclusion every time this discussion happens you can't replace Link it is as simple as that and get your own customers is the key to surviving.

You can try and get on email distribution lists for brokers, or broker "boards" such as ABF, XPO etc - free.

You can sign up for Loadlink for 1 month and then call DAT and subscribe to that for $150 USD. after one month cancel load link. you will have all the postings on DAT.

You have to be a Loadlink member to sign up for DAT. I been paying for both of them but you can definitely try this trick. but few brokers will ask you why you are not a member of LoadLink.

How is DAT different - if it has the same loads as LoadLink?

DAT has great features like I can see the load weight, price, and space they need. it saves a lot of time.
their new feature (Book) just clicks on it and instantly book the load if you don't like the price bid in the price you want. All big players are linking their personal load boards through DAT.

You get the first short at all the US Brokers postings as there is a delay of few seconds on Loadlink.
The best feature is I can post the origin city and leave the destination blank and it will show you all the loads originating from that point heading to anywhere in the US or Canada. I just call whoever pays the most.

Loadlink is so outdated and old school it's worth less than $10 a month. you literally can't even copy-paste the email address from the comment section.

You will never have payment issues if you are booking from DAT, as only brokers with proper authorities and bonds can post freight leads. all this and much more for just $149 USD a month and no tax on top

if you are running FLats or SD then Truckstop is really the great load board option and on Truckstop, you can report the broker for not paying TONU or even unprofessional behaviour.

Does DAT allow multiple users, and can you switch computers and log-in without having to call them for a "reset?"

It's actually even cheaper for multiple users and you can log in from as many computers as you want there is no IP address restriction. Each user can search its own lanes, it won't show other user lanes.
also, you get a free mobile app absolutely free even with 1 user plan. The rate index is free of cost too......

The only downside is it will show you a lot of US to US load postings but keep your radius small and you won't see as many

Do postings on the Link take a while to update to the DAT, in the same fashion that there is a delay when postings on the DAT are delayed on the link?

You won't notice any difference if you are using the software version of loadlink. few seconds delay if you compare with the web version of loadlink.

I've been playing with Evotrux
I like the "just click n book" feature.
Unfortunately alot of double brokering. ANy load I post not matter what / where I got a bid from a US broker. Of course they are always bidding $5-6/mile for 2-5 skid LTLs so not sure why they bother lol
But I have had some success with good carriers.

They seem to have mostly flatbed loads on now - when they started there was a lot of van.... I don't like that I have to wait for the bid to be accepted / not accepted... One time I waited a few hours - by the time it was accepted I had my truck moving already...so need to do something about that

They've added in the "book it now" but not sure if that still goes back n forth..

That was the first thing I noticed. Everything was clearly being double brokered.
