You know it's bad out there when ...

You know its bad when your customer tells you that a carrier from Nova Brampton (Brampton carrier fraudlently posing as a Nova Scotia carrier for insurance purposes) has cut your rate from AL to Ontario by 1000.00.
No way is that sustainable, but in the meantime we suffer at the hands of those who think the law is something to be ignored.
The law and maintenance.. oh the magic of deferred maintenance. ..

You know its bad when...your customer asks for more competitive pricing and you offer them your 2006 rate sheet, hoping those rates might work.

PS haven't done it (yet)..

This one's really going to mess with your heads ...
I have it from a friend in the financial industry that a number of operators from a specific geographic location have outright told him or her that they have no intentions of making their equipment payments, insurance payments, fuel payments, or maintenance costs. All they are going to do is run and collect the money, and when someone comes to repo the equipment, or they can't steal anymore fuel, or the equipment breaks down, they are simply going to abandon it where it is, get on an airplane, and head back to their birth country.

I wonder why they’d give the financial guy the heads up on that though. That would be like me calling the OPP in Napanee to tell them that I'm going to blow through there at 150 km/hr at 2:00 am. I may very well do that.. but giving advance warning makes little sense.

Apparently that's what they're doing with car payments and credit card debt. Racking it up and then abandoning everything, catching a flight

Isn’t that what we’ve already seen in multiple recent bankruptcy filings. Milk it for all it’s worth and walk away leaving millions in unpaid debt?
