Howdy folks,

You know, there's a spot on all post where people can 'report' a post.

Sometimes people do that because the writer legit broke the rules, you know, not speaking respectfully and professionally to one another, making racist comments, stuff like that. I usually try to action these as much as possible.

Sometimes people report a post because they have been outed and they are trying to get the post taken down because they have their panties in a bunch. I usually ignore those.

Sometimes respected members report a post and have very intelligent comments they want to make to me, other Moderators and Admin (Scamchaser, I respect every word you say in your recent report, thanks for that).

There have been 239 reported posts in the previous 11 years and I just want to let you know they have been read, but usually there isn't really much I can do besides nod, agree with you and carry on with my day. I can't/won't fact check every word anonymous people put on here, I literally don't have the time nor is it my 'job' to police the small details. I'm hoping members are ok with this.

Keep well,
Mike

Thankfully, no. In general people behave themselves here and the population does a decent job at calling people out for being naughty.

I have a real full time job running my employers business, this place takes maybe 15-20 minutes of my day.

Keep well, and enjoy that turkey this weekend. Don't forget the stuffing!

@MikeJr thanks for your time that you dedicate to this. You continue to do a great job in shutting down forums that have gone astray and asking those members to keep their tone in check.
Most members who have been here over a year understand the tone of the post and can read between the lines as to what is the real issue. Its great to see members who are not part of the calamity of the post to clear the air with a well written and fully supported post.
Just continue to shut those posts down that go back and forth dozens of times with no forward movement. Those members need to just take it PM, call each other of personally meet and get it resolved - nothing gets resolved properly in an online forum that is meant to publicly, but anonymously, share ideas and frustrations.

That's the thing, I can never be certain of much when it comes to a single post by an anonymous member. I just don't have the time to try and police content, unless you all want to put me into retirement... Then, I'd have all day to do that. My typing would be real bad due to sand, sun and cervezas though.

Keep well,
Mike
