I wouldn't say it's too early to spread good cheer. I'll take a minute to wish our membership here a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays all all the best for a prosperous and healthy New Year for 2023! Remember to enjoy every minute you have with your families and friends during the holiday season and try and find some time to slow down and just be in the moment.

If I were Johnny, I'd be rich and on whatever beach Loaders is on in his profile picture instead of snow blowing for multiple hours this afternoon (my neighbour is away so I'll just do his too). Half day at the office today as we had our Christmas Party last night. I was in charge of drink tickets, everyone was being very nice now that I think about it... The Christmas Suit was a hit of course.

wife: Honey, I found this guy on facebook marketplace that makes nutcrackers..
me: We have a half dozen of those already, do we need to add to the collection?
wife: He will make them in any colour scheme, it would be nice to have a gold and white one to match our decorations.
me: ok honey, whatever you wish.

Two weeks later...

Merry Christmas season all!!! Yes, I realize that we have most of our decor up prior to Dec 1, but in my defense I'll be in MX for a week and a half..

I totally thought you were talking about nutcrackers - and I was thinking to myself - is this a thing - to match nutcrackers with the decor... now I need one as well ... pictures are worth a thousand words - lol

Funny story to that. The parents in law booked a trip for them, us, and my brother in laws family departing March 27 2020. It was to celebrate their 50th Anniversary. 9 travelers in total (3 kids), then the Canadian border closed... Back then we were scheduled to go to a swanky place in the DR, Ziva Cap something or other.

The trip has been postponed to now, the kids are older and we have different needs. Heading to Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun. The kids will love the water slides and lazy rivers, etc. I plan on mostly vegging out by the pool, in the pool, etc but maybe some golf or a few excursions too. Bring the wife and I'll see you at the swim up bar? I'll bring the cigars.

I am sure everyone will have a fabulous time, parents and kids alike! Enjoy it. My Mexican holiday starts at the end of January and runs until the end of February. we go to the Pacific side. The weather is like Groundhog Day, hot and sunny, hot and sunny, hot and sunny!
